Several other advanced research facilities required for material development are being established with the grants provided by UGC. SEST started utilizing a wide array of sophisticated and unique materials processing and characterization equipment existing at external research centers to address cutting-edge research. Students have access to one of the largest collection of books and journals related to Materials Sciences & Engineering as well as Nano Science and Technology in the top class library on campus.

SEST is currently functioning in Study in India Programme (SIP) building. Construction of dedicated premises for SEST, keeping in view of its current teaching and research activities and future expansion plans, would be initiated in 2011. The University is already taking all essential steps to establish SEST as an excellent seat of learning for post-graduate education and research in engineering sciences and technology.
