SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES AT UoH
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)The University of Hyderabad is committed to advancing the successful implementation of sustainable development goals (SDGs) as it recognises that universities, a microcosm of India, are not only at the forefront of preparing future communities for sustainable development but also through research developing alternatives to attain, at the earliest, the goals of sustainable development. Besides teaching and research, like others, we engage with communities to disseminate and realise sustainable development targets.

Monsoon Session: July-December
Winter Semester: January-May
In January 2024, the IQAC cell of the university, with funding from the IoE directorate, organised a three-day international conference on all the SDGs. This conference brought together the university community and lead researchers and practitioners in different fields from across the globe to deliberate on the initiatives we could take to achieve the SDG goals by 2030. Details of the international conference can be found at the link: https://sdgconf2024.uohyd.ac.in/. The international conference created opportunities to synergise efforts at various disciplines and units of the university. The coming together of the university community and the subsequent dialogue has created a sharing space for a richer understanding of issues that impact humanity.
